Introducing...Colleen Lawler!

Colleen joined the St. Vincent Pallotti Center national office staff in June 2006.  She began her work at the Pallotti Center after teaching high school Spanish and Theology for two years; both in Washington, DC and in Fort Worth, Texas.  Colleen is currently completing her M.A. in Spanish/Latin American Studies at American University.  Colleen also worked as a volunteer with the Georgetown Visitation Associates program in 2003-2004, serving the student community as well as the sisters of the Visitation.  After three years of teaching in Catholic schools, Colleen was excited to apply her skills and experiences to support another important facet of Catholic education: volunteer service.

Colleen’s interest in volunteerism stems from her own volunteer experiences as a young adult.  As a high school student in Texas, and as an undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame, Colleen participated in both domestic and international service trips.  More recently, her travels in Latin America have added a new dimension to her understanding of service and justice.  All of these experiences have reinforced the importance of compassion—not only in volunteer work, but also in daily life.

Colleen is enthusiastic to serve former, current, and future volunteers who benefit from the work of the Pallotti Center.  Please contact her with questions regarding the Pallotti Center website, or any questions regarding full-time volunteer service.
