 Join our Network of Former Volunteers to connect with other formers to start your own gatherings!

Volunteer programs headquartered in New York
One way to get connected with current and/or former volunteers in the area is to plan intercommunity volunteer gatherings such as prayer groups, game nights, meals/picnics, etc.

St. Paul the Apostle near Fordham University on 59th & Columbus in

Retreat opportunities/spirituality centers
• The St. Vincent Pallotti Center and Good Shepherd Volunteers organize four Day of Reflection retreats each year for former and current volunteers in the New York City area.  Contact pallotti@pallotticenter.org for more information.
• The Fr. Judge Center (in Sterling, NJ) has a number of young adult ministries including weekend retreats and pilgrimages to Mexico City. The Boilermaker Road Race  is one of the top 15k's in the nation – the largest - with more than 10,000 runners.  
Syracuse is also the home of the New York State Fair.  It goes from the end of Aug. to the beginning of September.  Besides the expositions, they also have great concerts.  
Other festivals in Syracuse include the Jazzfest, Bluesfest and the Oswego Riverfest.

St. Joseph University Parish has been deemed the best parish for spotting lots of other formers.  They also have an 11:30 am gospel music mass that's fantastic!  The St. Joe's Community also has a very active social justice committee that has several subcommittees including one that focuses on "Women's Role in the Church".

Vive la Casa - Buffalo has VERY large immigrant population because it's so close to Canada.  This organization houses immigrants and always needs volunteers.
