Gatherings
The St. Vincent Pallotti Center, located on the campus of The Catholic University in Washington, DC, provides a number of services for former volunteers in the area, including: monthly gatherings (social events, discussions, guest speakers, etc.); a listing of roommate openings and other formers looking for housing in the DC and Baltimore areas; local non-Pallotti Center event updates, sent via e-mail, about once per week to formers who request them; and, a free job bank service for formers looking for employment.  Call 202-529-3330 or e-mail pallotti@pallotticenter.org to get in touch with us! 

 
Volunteer programs headquartered in Virginia
One way to get connected with current and/or former volunteers in the area is to plan intercommunity volunteer gatherings such as prayer groups, game nights, meals/picnics, etc.

Our Lady Queen of Peace at 2700 S. 19th St. in Arlington, VA, 703-979-5580.  This very social justice-oriented parish, located in a traditionally black neighborhood, has awesome masses with great music and energy.

Retreat opportunities/spirituality centers
Dominican Retreat House, in McLean, VA, 703-356-4243, has day, weekend and week-long retreats with a variety of themes and groups.
Holy Cross Abbey Retreat House is part of a trappist monastery located in Berryville. Call 540-955-3124.

• The is a beautiful park called 17th Street Park at 17th Street & Oceanfront in Virginia Beach.  They have an outdoor stage for concerts, shows, plays & movies.

• Don't miss the wonderful Theology on Tap series at Whitlow's on Wilson in Arlington, VA. The Catholic lecture series brings speakers to restaurant/bars to speak to people in their 20s and 30s about faith issues. The evening starts with a "happy half-hour," followed by the 45-minute presentation and a question and answer period.
